According to the Rider Waite tarot version, the Moon card symbolizes:
the unconscious, the unknown, deep emotions, illusions, fears.
It also signifies the transformation of sexuality through spirituality.

Each of these meanings is represented in the illustration through the concepts:
The two Towers = the two reflected towers are destroyed by illusion;
Water = unconsciousness, fears, the unknown;
Moon = in this case, the moon is reflected in the water, symbolizing illusions and emotions;
Blood Moon = bathed in the menstrual blood of the High Priestess card*,

The smoke escaping the box mingles with the water, creating a connection between
what has been released, the new, and what already existed, the old.
In my interpretation, this card signifies a profound and solitary plunge into oneself,
revealing intense and dense emotions from the realm of the unconscious,
the old, the past, as one ventures into the unknown, towards the new, the future,
shedding the feelings of fear and dismantling long-held illusions.
The 'Moon' card, another illustration created for the same collab,
is purposefully associated with the portrayal of the High Priestess card."
